Privacy policy
What I collect, why I collect it, who helps me handle it, and how to ask for it back.

This policy covers the MoneyPlan website (moneyplan.co.nz) and the enquiries made through it. If you become a client, the information I hold for your advice is also covered by the disclosure information and engagement letter you receive. I follow the Privacy Act 2020.
Who is responsible
Luis Silva, trading as MoneyPlan (FSP1009370), is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can reach me at [email protected] or on +64 27 484 1467.
What I collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), your message, and how you heard about MoneyPlan.
- Discovery session request: your name, email address, phone number, preferred time of day and meeting format, your message, and how you heard about MoneyPlan.
- Checklist download: your name, email address, whether you want occasional follow-up emails, and which checklist points you left open on the page.
- Where you came from: when you submit a form, I also record the first page you landed on and the website that sent you to MoneyPlan. This helps me see which sources are useful. It is held in your browser only until you close the tab and is sent to me only if you submit a form.
- Website visits: I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare describes as privacy-focused. It reports page views and general technical information such as browser and country. I do not use it to identify you personally, and I do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Please do not put sensitive details such as bank account numbers, IRD numbers or passwords in a web form. Tell me what you need to and I will explain how to share documents securely once we are working together.
How I use it
- to reply to your enquiry and arrange a discovery session
- to send you the checklist you asked for
- to send occasional practical emails, only if you ticked the box asking for them, and you can ask me to stop at any time
- to understand which pages and sources bring people to the site, so I can improve it
- to meet my legal and regulatory obligations if you become a client
I do not sell your information and I do not use it for advertising.
Who helps me handle it
I use a small number of service providers to run the website and the business. They handle information only to provide their service to me:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security and web analytics
- Resend: delivery of the emails generated by the website forms
- Microsoft 365: my email and file storage
- Stripe: payment for packages. Card details go directly to Stripe and are not held by me
Some of these providers store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States and Europe. I choose providers that apply security and privacy protections I consider comparable to those in the Privacy Act. If I use another tool to deliver advice to you, I will tell you in your engagement documents.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry details only for as long as I need them to respond and follow up, and then delete them. If you become a client, I keep your advice records for as long as the law requires.
Keeping it safe
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Form submissions are sent to me by email and stored in my protected Microsoft 365 account. No system is perfectly secure. If a privacy breach occurred that is likely to cause you serious harm, I would notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it where I am not required to keep it. Email [email protected] and I will respond within 20 working days.
If you are not happy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes to this policy
If I change what I collect or how I use it, I will update this page and the date at the top. My disclosure statement covers how I am paid, conflicts of interest and how to make a complaint about my advice.
